Mount Sterling is in Madison County. Mt. Sterling is a full service police department that handles all crimes, investigations, and calls for service. Outside our municipal limits is covered bywww.madisonsheriff.org
Another big partner with the Mt. Sterling Police Department is the State Highway Patrol Post. Troopers are there for Mt. Sterling Officers if needed and never hesitate to help out in difficult situations. 
Ohio State Highway Patrol  
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is responsible for Deer Creek State Park, and is often called in to assist Mount Sterling Police on calls as backup. We work hand in hand with both state agencies.
